Just went by the Pikes Peak BMX track. The dirt jumps need some work. The good news is that the dirt is in excellent shape for digging/shaping the jumps. I didn't even know there was any good dirt there but the rain has helped tremendously.

I am going to stop by after work tommorrow, Friday the 7th for a dig session. Should be there around 5 or so. I will bring two shovels and a metal rake.
Anybody want to come help out?

I'm there. I've been wanting to do this for a while but just haven't gotten out there yet. I'll try and bring a shovel/rake if I can.

On the right line we should definitely space out the jumps and make the gaps smaller. When they were first built it seemed like the gaps between the jumps were as big as the gaps themselves. :p

sounds good. I got about 15 minutes of work in today before the storm hit. I worked on the first jump on the left line, just added some dirt and shaped the lip, it was pretty beaten down. There was also a guy out there in a bobcat who was moving some dirt around. I had him add some to the jumps on the right line as they were pretty beaten down also.
We should be able to get alot done tommorrow if the rain holds out.

Well apparently I'm going to Denver in the afternoon, not sure when, so it's suspect as to whether I'll be attending or not. If I'm unable to go, would you be up for some weekend/next week building?

This Saturday I am helping build at the freeride park at Red Rock Canyon but was planning on going over to Pikes Peak BMX afterwards, sometime mid-afternoon.

Could possibly do some digging this Sunday afternoon. Next week is looking pretty busy.

I will still head out tommorrow and Saturday, I am hoping to get a lot done while the dirt is still wet so we can get it packed in and then hardened by the sun.

Hopefully I'll be down there Saturday morning as well at the freeride park.

Went out to the jumps today. They are currently in the processing of plowing them all and moving to a new location. They now start near the end of the bmx track off to the side and angle down the hill towards the creek/sidewalk area. There will once again be two lines, one small and one big. One of the bmx guys was there and had access to the Bobcat so we got started. First jump on the small line is pretty much done and first line on the large line was started. Also got the roll-in all evened out, needs to be packed a little more.

So if anyone wants to be involved and have any input this is the time to help. I will be back out tommorrow afternoon around 2 or 3 depending on the freeride park work day. We should also have access to the Bobcat again which makes moving the dirt a lot easier.

Got rained out today on freeride park build session and dirt jump dig session. The dirt jump area at Pikes Peak BMX was just to slippery to move any dirt around. If the sun comes out tommorrow morning and dries things out then I will be at the BMX track working on the dirt jumps by early afternoon. Will be there by 1 pm at the latest if the weather cooperates.

I went to the Freeride park yesterday to see if anyone would show up in the rain.. thankfully no one was there and I didn't feel bad leaving :) If anyone wants to build during week days I can come out an lend a hand.

I will be out at the BMX track today and Thursday. Will be there after work, around 6 PM both days. As for the Bobcat, I don't have access to it. The guys that run the BMX track have the keys and permission to use it. They were out there last weekend because there was a BMX race. Not sure when they will be back. I will a few shovels and a wheel barrow so we can atleast move some dirt around, will just be slower.

Checked out the rad jumps at the bmx track 2 ft tall tight radius step down over a bush with 1.5 ft of landing sounds hot. Let me know when you guys can use a bobcat to hook it up, it's not to fun building good jumps for the masses by hand, just to come out the next day and have some kook kill'em all for ya. The Track is in real good shape though.

Not sure when the bmx guys will have the bobcat going again so for the time being have to deal with building by hand. It sucks, but atleast there is progress being made. I started a new line last night, got the first jump built and half of the second. It starts just to the left of the current/old jumps and will parallel them just below on the flat area.

Holding off of the new original line(step down over bush) until the large jumps to the right of it are finished so there is access to build the big ones.
