Pike Question

Arrrgggg!

I thought I had settled on the Pike U-Turn Air. Then I read that the U-Turn doesn't use the Dual Air system.

Anybody have any thoughts or experience on whether the U-Turn Air will match the plushness of the Dual Air?

I really want the crank down feature. Not that I'll use it, I just want to know it's there. :D

The Air U-Turn uses Dual Air. Not sure where you read it isn't, but it most definitely is a Dual Air fork.
Yup it's still a dual air system, don't worry.
I'm glad someone raised this. I have a shiny* new Pike 454 on my bike. I've messed around with the positive air chamber, I've messed around with the positive air chamber, and I've even fiddled with the travel adjustment, so I know it's all there, yet I too have been confused by a number of recent postings that have implied that I can't have it all

* poetic licence only. "I have a matty new Pike" just doesn't work. :)
My goof. Thanks for clarifying that. I think the shopping (agonizing) is over!

Not sure which thread I read the confusing error in, but it was probably over in the Ellsworth forum!
Other misguided fools like myself must have gotten that impression from Rock Shox's very own website. When you look at the stats comparing the different models it sure looks like the Air U-turn has a different air system. Confusing!

Glad to hear it also has the duel air!
Does dual air just mean positive & Negative air?

If so, then the Air UTURN 454 has Dual Air. DGCs review here makes it clear

Nice review. Thanks for the lead!
Kosmo,
Here are a few pic's of what you are after.

Sweet pix. You're happy with it, I take it?

I'll take the 454 off and replace it with "Hemi". Hopefully somebody besides me will get it.

Yeah, I know that would be more applicable to the 426 version, but that's my plan, and I'm sticking to it.

At 190 lbs nekid, the 426 might be a better bet for me, anyway (steel steerer and a little more aluminum in the crown).
Ditto on the Reba U-Turn. RS seems to have done a nice job on the current forks. I am really liking mine.
