Wish I had some beautiful mountain shots but I'm in Orange County and there ain't no such thing around here. But here's a decent shot of a crossing of Tijeras Creek.
Are you high?

We have TONS of beautiful mountains around here. I suggest getting out of the drainage ditch trails like Tijeras Creek...you'll see some beautiful stuff.

Every one of these pictures is from Orange County...all are rides I can ride to from my house. Maybe you should get out more and see some stuff...

Am I high? Hardly...

I'm from Washington, the state with real trees, forests, lakes, rivers and unfortunately chicks with big fat asses and too much rain, which is why I'm now in So Cal. But if you're into barren hills that have typically been scorched by fire and you're happy with it, enjoy.

And what makes you think I haven't done every one of those rides in your pictures?

You indicated there were no "beautiful mountain (shots)" in Orange County...seems to have been an inaccurate statement.

Is OC as beautiful as WA? Probably not. That wasn't the issue.

What makes me think you haven't done those rides is the fact that you're riding Tijeras Creek and saying things like we have no mountains in Orange County.

Just sayin'...

Not MTB, but 700C.

For those not familiar, Dario builds some gorgeous bikes, one at a time, pretty much by himself. Big Leg Emma is steel frame, custom drawn Columbus tubing, to his spec, yep, those stays are steel. Stainless down tube frame stiffeners guarantee about the stiffest steel ride around, but with the best road manners you could imagine. Don't know how they do it, but this is no american crit bike. No hands, eye's closed, it almost feel like auto pilot....

My favorite trail dog who has been like a rocket the past 5 years when she goes mountain biking with me. A hot air balloon flew over the house last Saturday and she went ballistic. Ran out the back door, took a flying leap off of the deck and when she landed she tore her ACL and meniscus. Surgery was Wednesday and today (Friday) is the first time she was hungry and ready to eat...

Bandage/wrap comes off tomorrow.

Sometimes when you don't finish a race you come back with great stories and scars. Both will last you forever.

So, worth the 10 bucks and the drive? Do they really flow like people say? Is this my possible refuge from east coast chunk?

Not sure how far your drive is, but I traveled all the way up from Houston to ride there. I'll be going back in August to ride what I missed. The trails are sweet and there are lots of mileage technical options. That's some super tacky magical dirt up there. Yes, it's worth the trip.
