Oh, give it time to load. It takes a while if you're on a modem to load all the pics. Worth the wait though.
Strange...there's a pic there of a red SJ Pro which wasn't in the '05 catalog I saw this past weekend.
That's the motherload right there.
Nice find. :D

Lou.
Am I missing something? Where are the S-Works bikes?
I'll be damned, no sworks bikes. I did see the catalog at the dealer and it has the sworks stuff in it, just not on here. The epic looks the same, same materials, but they've got black ano again this year, polished al, and red like they did in 03. Plus you can buy the 05 sworks epics with terralogic shocks from the factory now. I didn't pay much attention to the other stuff because I'm an xc guy.
The question is: why does Specialized feel the need to keep their '05s such a secret? Other major manufacturers including Trek, Gary Fisher, Cannondale, Klein, etc. have now upadated their websites with the full '05 lineups (or in the case of Santa Cruz - shipping the '05s and giving the new owners a pleasant surprise with longer travel and the '05 versions of the forks/shocks not mentioned on the website).

Because Filip got caught doping. :D

Actually I don't know. I dont think they would put it on their site yet unless the bikes were shipping already.

Well since I was a jerk to you before here are the 05 sworks xc bikes. :D

The frames are available as frames only or with fox terralogic forks or as complete bikes. Colors are red, black ano or silver polished on both bikes.

LOL....going thru a divorce, having a bad life, I'm trying not to road rage LOL...

hey man, I do have a serious question.

WIll a DEMO 9 or DEMO 8 bike stay up with the "Epics" as far as trail speed?
I love the Huge Travel, but I need to be able to keep up with the others that I ride with...
How heavy are they? and if they are geared the same why would the Epic smoke it off trail?
Well, assuming a flat trail, no, they wouldn't. The rolling resistance of typical dh tires vs xc tires will ensure the epic will be faster. Lighter wheels will help too. As soon as you go uphill, the gross weight of the 9 and 8 will keep them from climbing as quickly and as nimbly as the epic. However, if the trail points downward the 8 and 9 will outrun an epic no problem because of their ability to go faster without having to worry about obstacles. Basically you can lay off the brakes and let it all hang out, where an epic would have to scrub some speed to retain control. I thought you ordered an epic? The sworks epic complete weighs like 23 lbs. The demo 9 weighs like 48 lbs. Not sure about the 8 yet.
if you look at their website the 05's are posted.
