I rode here for the first time ever the other day. Gorgeous desert and a tough trail that requires your attention at all times. We rode out to the classic 10 mile lookout point and then we headed back. The desert is beautiful right now with plenty of blooms to enjoy. Get out there! :)

Would like to put this on the list for Fall 2014 + some BCT. We'll be going to Huntsman World Senior Games in Utah in October, and this would be great to do on the long drive home.

I admire all who do the Full Monty from Picket Post to Kelvin and aspire to that on a fantasy level. However, due to some recent and very humbling experiences riding in the desert of West Texas, a 10 mile out and back would be realistic and doable.

Saw you guys out there on Saturday. One of my all time favorite rides. Even though it's mostly downhill going back. It still works you having to power out of tight turn and short climbs in between.

Haa, you're funny 2BeerJoe. I like the grunt of going uphill better, too. You guys seem to have gotten really spread out during the day, did everyone (other than the guy with a busted pedal) make it up to the look out?

You've been doing some really good riding. I saw you're Black Canyon post too. I'd totally live in the desert if it weren't so crazy hot. There's something about that I really like. Maybe because I grew up in New England where it's either hot and humid or cold and wet, super green or all gray. Where as the desert is so different from all of that.
