I live almost within coasting distance of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It is nothing near as dramatic as out West, but I ride through it at least weekly. It is linked with our metropolitan park system and Lake Erie as well as routes South so it is very easy to get around and not deal with too many cars.

Rocky Mountain National Park is in my back yard, so we do a full moon gravel ride up over 12,000' once or twice every summer on Old Fall River Road. Also, the ride up Trail Ridge Road is nice and the snow is dramatic in the spring.

Older photo of Olympic national Park wilderness coast.
To show what in camera filters and custom white balance can do.

Cameras have a lot of buttons. try to use them all.
