Following on a previouis photographic thread...
I just happened to stumble across this in the camera shop and grabbed it.

Details found here===> Gorillapod
Pretty darned slick!!!

Specifications

Max weight:
Interface:

G-pod size:
G-pod weight:
Habitat:

Compact digital cameras
335g (12.5oz.)
Universal 1/4-20 screw

150 x 30 x 30 mm (5.9" x 1.2" x 1.2")
45g (1.6oz)
Everywhere

Stuff it in your pack and forget about it. Weighs next to nothing, very flexible and best of all has a low profile quick release base that stays on the camera! I use to have to thread my previous tripod on every time I mounted the camera. Now it just slides on.

I snagged it at J&R for $22 bucks.

Great little compliment to a digicam. Talk about setting up anywhere to get a shot!!! Very cool... very, very cool... I'm gonna order one.

I ordered one direct from their website. Cost about $23 w/ shipping for an unpackaged unit. They offer different ones for compact digi and DSLR's...
Should arrive tomorrow! :D
...then I can just mount the camera right on the bike for the helmet-cam effect...
(not really....)

THNX 'Zilla!!
