HEY! I know that Salsa! (was hoping you'd post these and that you didn't get me taking a nature break)!

Great day on the trails -- not often we get THAT MUCH snow here in GA ;)

Sometimes you make it, some times you don't. Will Rogers /Backbone, Santa Monica Mountains. Separated shoulder and these two pics to add to it. Golf ball sized contusion on right hand, nice and purple shaded.

Ouch! Hey, is the bike okay?;)

Duly noted, BB. Going to be a while before full motion is close, if ever, to being restored. Ball joint at the shoulder has a real loose "floating" feel to it now, like some range of motions won't keep it contained in the socket where it belongs. Right now, scratching behind my neck or back with my left hand, ain't in the cards, andholding a gallon of milk by my side hurts, pulling muscles down near my triceps. Even lifting and holding a 13# cat hurts. Doc says mild stage I separation, I hope they are right, X rays didn't disclose anything. 3 to 4 weeks, she's saying.

This was on the AIR 9. I ordered some parts for the Formula K-18's, bent lever, bent rod, replacement plastic duckbill that holds the ball joint plunger rod in place. Everything else appeared to be fine. Formula service with Charlie was great, he was very helpful on the phone.

Couple from a warm sunny day last Saturday. Don't get a chance to snap to many pics since 80% of riding occurs when the moon is out.

Hope everything heals up - on both you and the bike. Your elbow and hand will bounce right back. But, depending on the grade of separation, that separated shoulder takes some serious time to heal. Not for riding, but for other uses (throwing, combing/brushing your hair, dressing and undressing, lifting your arm over your head, etc...). Took me months and months to heal a couple of years ago after one of my labs ran in front of me out on the trail when I said "go right" and he thought we were going "left". I could barely get up off the ground after the crash the pain was so intense. I couldn't throw a baseball or football without pain for about 18 months - which, in my case, was only important to working my son out for his sports.

Good thing you don't have to shovel snow.:D

My first post on photo Friday. I've just put this together and Brown Santa says the wheels should get here from Mikesee on Monday. I need to cut the rear brake hose and then bleed it.

Ronnie.
