Well it's Friday in Oz, so here's some pics from a recent loop-ride, from my place and exploring Mt Cootha and Brisbane Forest Park...
So if I had a snowboard I "couldn't actually enjoy it" ?? :skep:CommuterBoy said:Those are some epic snow conditions. It's too bad you didn't have a snowboard and couldn't actually enjoy it.
Good eye Martini! Yes, it is Tamjams old Hunter, although it's gone through some changes. I bought it from him like 4 years ago, rode it as a 26" SS for about a year, and then the driveside chainstay cracked at the dropout. I was getting interested in 29ers at the time, so I talked Rick into putting a new 29" rear triangle onto it. Hey, it had to go back to him anyway! It was also repainted the same color (his was green). I rode it as a rigid 29er for a year or 2, but then I took a big swig of Koolaid and ordered my dream bike from Black Sheep last summer. I turned the Hunter into my neighborhood bike last summer, but it deserved more! And yes, the seatstays are a thing of beauty.~martini~ said:Is that Tamjams old hunter? No wait, his was gray. I miss mine terribly, if to just look at the brazing work Rick did. And those stays. Gawd I loved the seat stays.
