The mountains were coated in 10" of wet, heavy, Sierra cement and the wind was howling across the ridges. Crowds were very light and it was an exhausting but fun day on the mountain.
I 80 and the sierra crest ski areas have been closed since Christmas Day due to power outages, zero vis white outs, and general challenging blizzard conditions. Be safe out there!

Tahoe is getting dumped on if you are lucky enough to be up there and enjoy winter sports.

Got to ride Mt. Hamilton Road on Dec 27. Parked at Grant Ranch (where hundreds of cars where getting turned around), as the road above was closed. Took a couple of ebikes which is really ideal since one can carry ski clothes for the descent!!!
Truly amazing experience with about a foot of snow.
