A double post (other in the cannondale forum). For all you Perp DH riders, how does the Perp handle at speed over chunky stuff?

Don't own one myself, but I was looking at one for a long time as an upgrade to my Gemini. Talking to a rider at Diablo, he said it rails on the bermed and ss stuff, but it has a harder time than the pure dh frame in the real rocky stuff. Again, not my experience so take it for what it's worth.
There have been some good in depth reviews done on the perp. I looked into getting one myself but was turned off by some reviews that said it handled jumps great but was horrible in the rough and worse in the steep. It's been a year and a half since I read about it but I'm almost positive that Mountain Bike Action did an article on it that pretty much bashed it. Which is enough said in my book since it seems like every bike they ride is the best ever.
i've got one and it handles the rough az dh trails just fine, and did pretty well at bootleg canyon also. it might not be as stable at high speed as a full on dh bike, because it's not as slack, but there are ways to fix that.
I love mine. It's no downhill racer for sure, but neither am I. It does just fine on the steep gnarly stuff. Granted I can't keep up with my buddies on their Judges, but there's nothing it can't handle.
