i think i have finally reached purrfection with my single build. heres the details, tell me what you think.

surly 1x1 frame (pink w/matching fork)
pink chris king headset
surly disc hubs (jim brown) laced to mavic 717's with dt comp. spokes
white industries 17t freewheel
sram pc68 chain
surly tuggnut
kenda nevegal stick-e 2.1's
xtr cranks with spot 34t spiderless chainring
OLD xtr bb with ball and needle bearings
time atac xs pedals
thomson masterpiece s-post
brooks swift honey brown saddle (best money EVER spent)
thomson elite stem
easton monkey-lite carbon bar
odi ruffian lock on grips
paul brake levers
avid bb7 brakes

all for a total weight of just below 23 lbs. what do you guys think?

i know i know, this post is WORTHLESS without pics...i will try and post some as soon as possible!
can you back up the pink color?:eek:

i will have to get some pics wed. as far as being freakishly strong...unfortunately no. i dont walk at all but these days it seems i only get out twice a month at best...i hope to change that asap.

buzzy....that is BEAUTIFUL! any chance we can see the rest of it?

and rusty...i LOVE the 1x1. it replaced my jamis exile VERY quickly...i cant explain it but the bike just feels right...ya know?

i have to admit though as much as i love it i've started my savings fund for the vanilla frame....only 10 more years of saving to go!

Alright, well, vwmtnbiker will hopefully post up some close-up shots of his pink beauty, but meanwhile here's an action shot of him taking it over a pretty good-sized teeter. The second pic is of myself wheelieing off the end of the teeter on my SS KM.

Why combine a pink frame/fork with a pink headset? This is not good. I know someone who set some green color accents on his pink surly: headset, clamp, freewheel (WI Trial has green seals). And this looks great. But please post some closeups!

It's hard to see in the pic... were you able to get the top of the Midge's above saddle height on the 1x1?
