Mountain Bike in the Moonlight - McDowell (7/8/2006)
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to ride the Pemberton Trail (15.4 miles) after sunset. This trail is not very technical; however, night riding will make it more difficult. Helmets and lights will be mandatory on this ride. Only lights designed for use with mountain bikes with at least a 3 hour power source are acceptable. All riders must sign in and out at the trailhead as they start and finish their ride. Everyone needs to be off the trail by 9:30 PM. This is not a guided ride. Volunteers will sweep the course to ensure all riders return safely. For more information call 480-471-0173.
Date: 7/8/2006
Time: 7:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Registration Required: no
Fee: $5 per vehicle park entry fee

Who is up for this one? Just think you wont have to get out of bed at the crack of dawn to beat the heat of the day.;) The last one was alot of fun...easy trail, very fast. Post up if interested.

C'mon...You know you wanna ride the technical stuff. :D

The wife works early Saturday morning meaning I'm not riding. So this is a distinct possibility. I'll know more later this week.

I am gonna make this one. Pemberton is one of those trails that if you get bored yo ujust go faster and it seems more technical (especially when you banzai a cholla)

I had a giant erection for this ride. It is one of my favorites - the night ride that is. Now, after my Kona bust, I am not looking forward to taking the Turner out there.

I may try for this...I've never made one of the night rides out there. Depends on how the family schedule shakes out...

I just did Pemberton yesterday - CCW to Tonto Tank, back up Tonto Tank, over to Bluff and down Bluff/Granite, then back to the lot. About 23 miles or so.

"Down" Bluff is a great, fun run and would be a blast at night.

I will be there. Look for the ugly guy with a red goatee.

Beware of Dirdir and his erection!
Dirdir and his erection have been dizzy and nauseated for the last two days and are not sure if riding will be possible. I think there is a curse on Dirdir in connection with this ride.

Dirdir, you have another bike to ride correct? If not let me know, I may be able to dig one up for you.....

I'll be there but I've never ridden Pemberton so I have no idea where it's at. I'll either be in my black F-150 or I'll be with Cyclejunkie in his White Toyota. Either way, he and I will probably be together.

i haven't been on a nighr ride in a few years, should be lots of fun.
see everyone at the trailhead parking lot?? are we rolling AT 7:30?
good question....what's everyone thinking? Simon and I were thinking about getting to the trailhead between 6:30-7:00 so rolling out by 7:15, does that work for everyone?
