so paypal has wronged a lot of us, and if you opened a account between oct 2000, to jan 2004, you will get money, how much is uncertain. I know if you were screwed out of a lot of money (account frozen, paypal not refunding money, them taking money out w/out verification) that is another issue and has a long form on the claims site. (I think 50 dollars may be the magic number everyone is talking about)

I dont know all the answers as there are lot of theories floating around, so just read the paypal site, go to the claims site, as this is a collective punitive thing, regadless if you've had a certain paypal attack against you.

lets keep this thread free of "paypal blows" and "they lick donkey nuts" cuz we already know that...just info on how to get the cash back.

Woo Hoo, They just refunded me 8.8 million dollars to my paypal account!

Awww crap, I am getting 8.8 cents back. Did not seem worth the effort. Anyone know what I can get for my bike for 8.8 cents?
i guess

Anyone can make a "claim" who didn't have a dispute:

2. Statutory Damage Fund Claimants
The plan of allocation designates $1 million of the Net Settlement
Fund to a "Statutory Damage Fund," to be distributed equally among all
Fund Claimants who are not Dispute Resolution Claimants. This means
that if you are a member of the Class and do not fall within the definition
of a "Dispute Resolution Claimant," as set out above, you can make a
claim for a payment from the Statutory Damage Fund. The Statutory
Damage Fund provides compensation for potential statutory damages under
the Electronic Fund Transfer Act ("EFTA"), 15 U.S.C. E 1693 et seq.
Statutory damages under the EFTA are limited by law to no more than
$500,000 for any class of individuals claiming "the same failure to
comply." Plaintiffs' counsel contended in the litigation and for
purposes of settlement that PayPal was potentially liable for multiple
failures to comply, a position PayPal vigorously opposed.

The Statutory Damage Fund Claim Form requires you to provide certain
identifying information and sign a statement under penalty of perjury
authenticating your claim, which may be subject to verification by
PayPal's records. To make a claim for payment from this fund, please
complete and submit the Statutory Damage Fund Claim Form available on
the Internet at https://www.paypal.com/settlement/ in accordance with
the instructions on the form.

However, the fund for these such people is only $1 million. So those of us who didn't have any problems would probably only get a buck or two if even that.

i've read that stuff for years , but continued to use paypal with 0 probs
what problems were people having with paypal? i've used them over 75 times with no trouble.
I read the info on this and it just sounds like the usual story. Some trial lawyers getting many millions and the plaintiffs getting a few $.
Oh yea, Ive had no problems with paypal, but Ive heard a lot of bad things, I just transfer the cash out of my paypal account right when I get it. And is the claims site working for anyone?
I got fu**ed for 200$ in a transaction on paypal. Paypal would not give me anything even though they insure transactions. Well, now I know that I should have gone to the credit card company instead. Its great having an uncle that works for american express (he married in to the family recently). Any problem I have he can deal with :D , I hope? :( .
They owe me 585.00 that they overpaid a cock..

and he kept the money. Then they tell me to send hime a bill for it
