So I'm building up a retro-mod 9 speed Fat Chance Yo Eddy and I'm looking to put either the Pauls or ICB Barcon thumby adaptors on. Has anyone used these with shimano down tube braze on levers? Just wondering, I like the look of the Durace levers better than any of the other 9 speed barcons.

Will work fine.
The ergonomics are a bit different due to the lever shape, but they will fit the mounts.

Paul + DA 9. I use them. They're great.

That explains it. IRD makes the hinged version. They're not really any cheaper than Pauls though.

It's amazing that people actually find things on the internet.

I've had a setup where I needed the hinged IRD ones instead of the Pauls. Too bad they're just about the same price.
