I am interested in a bike that comes stock with a Cane Creek Helm. I was pretty impressed with what I have read about it until I looked into the servicing. I could not find any instructions or parts for a full rebuild, just the lowers maintenance.

I called Cane Creek to ask about this, and they said full service needed to be done by CC or some other authorized dealer. WTF? That is a deal-breaker in my book.

Just curious before I completely write off this fork... Has anyone has been able to secure the parts and do the servicing yourself?

Lower service is simple and rings and wipers are available.

I know that.

I'm talking about servicing/rebuilding the airspring and dampers (what CC calls the 100 hr service).

If I can't service a shock by my self it's not going to be on my bike. It's why I ride rockshox, great technical manuals, not to many specialist tools (which are all readily available), complete seal kits, and designs that are generally easy to work on.
