Parting Shot: New/Secret trail

So I was riding along the other day on a bike path in the big local park. (I always ride to the trailhead) I happened to catch the tell-tale sign of what looked like a trail I had never noticed. I stopped and clambered up the slope off the path and lo and behold! I find a tight twisty little bit of singletrack running between the trees. I drag my bike up to it and start pedaling. Its nice and tight, 12-15 inches wide, my knobbies runnin over dried pine needles as I dodge past the trees and in and out of the shade, beats the hell out of the concrete path that I had just been riding on and better yet it runs in the same direction so I can take it and still get to where I was headed. Ye-haw! It doesnt last very long but every little bit of dirt counts, right? Now I hit it every time I go that way and it always puts a smile on my face. So remember to look around whenever you are someplace new (and even if its not so new) you never know what you might find...

So here is a quick pick from that first ride. Post some pics of a trail you scoped out that you didnt know was there. Or if you dont have that post up a pic of your favourite 'secret' trail whose location you gaurd carefully (You dont have to tell us where it is...;) )

Nice! Finding fresh trails is the best. Little hidden gems are all around. Major stoke!
