Park City Point 2 Point-Sold Out!

The Park City Point 2 Point sold out in 6 minutes! I didn't think it was that popular. I guess it will be another year before I get a shot at it.

Is it worth it, btw?

I'm in!

This will be my second year and it is totally worth it. The single track is epic and amazing.

Very well organized.

I'm sure you'll see some spots for sale because they are transferable, keep your eyes peeled.
I'm in, praise baby jesus. Had to bail last year as I tore a ligament in my thumb (aka skiers thumb, playing soccer, duh) about three weeks before the race. Really looking forward to this event, I dig riding in PC. The trainer's been out of the closet for a few weeks, but no matter what I do....it's gonna hurt!
Me too.

I made it in as well. I'll be riding in the singlespeed class. The "wait, what did I just sign myself up for?" feeling hasn't hit yet.
Anyone have a trail/course map of this event?

From the website...
"There will be a course change for 2011 > total milage will be finalized this spring. MAPS ARE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE (from the last two years)"

Map/Course page is here.... http://thepcpp.com/race/the-course/

I did it the first year (2009). Race only filled up half way. About 150 riders. Last year they made a genuine effort to reward the participants from 2009 by having a hush hush registration opening prior to the general opening, which I appreciated very much. 150 spots were snatched up so fast that they had to close reg until the advertised opening, then it sold out in a matter of hours. This year, it appears there were well over 320 would-be racers sitting at their computers refreshing their screen every 10 seconds, counting down to 7pm. Sold out in 6 minutes, luckily I snuck in.
I kind of had it in my mind that I would become the guy who walked around on race day bragging about how I have done all 16 years of the PCP2P (alla LT100) but it would not take much to go wrong to miss your chance of registering. Based on some of the sob stories so far, having to walk accross the room to get your credit card meant missing out on registering. Crazy. I think this is one of the best mountain bike races in the world. Unfortunately I am not a pure climber and so I do not excell in this race, in fact, the last two PCP2Ps have been my two worst days in the saddle but maybe, just maybe, third times a charm. If not, maybe 30th time will be a charm.

I was that guy, credit card in hand, logged into the site, refreshing every 10 seconds. I've missed out on far too many races for trying to register 5 minutes after registration opened. (Additionally missing out on bikes and parts by not ordering before their even available).
I'm in and boy do I feel like a poser now...

A friend and I both decided to enter origanly as a duo team then found out no teams this year. So we said well try and see if we get in. Well we did now I need to up my riding game and not be the DFL person. This race is taking place of the Leadville 100 for me this year. Can't wait...or ya I can. See u all in 7 months.

I've done both, I think PCP2P is 12 to 17 times harder than Leadville. That's my experience anyways. May be the opposite for you. You'll love it.
Entry transfer?

Anyone want to transfer their PCP2P entry yet? Or am I a couple of months early?

Contact me if you have realized that the race isn't going to fit into your schedule and you don't want to waste the money! Thanks.
