I got a pair of Panaracer fire XC tires.. the 127 TPI made in Japan version, and when I was putting them on I noticed a small spot (about a quarter inch which what I thought was some some stickey stuff, that had some lint or something stuck to it.. ... didn't think much of it, and didn't care enough to even try to remove it.... anyway I am checking my tire pressure today, and I said "what the hell, might as well remove it" so I try to scrape it off with my nail, and I notice it is some of the fabric from inside the tire coming right out of the rubber... wtf


anyone else get a tire that was defective in this way, or are defects like this fairly common????

Take them back to your LBS or contact Panaracer. They will take care of you.

BTW please do not "bump" (in the posting guidelines) and bumping a 4 hour old thread at 3:30 am is just silly. This board is not that busy.

I contacted Panaracer... what a great company....

they responded to my e-mail within I think 5 minutes. Took care of me...
