Well, I currently have BB5's, but just kinda curious about anyone painting any kind of brakes really.

And mainly talking about the caliper housing, but would be interested to hear about levers, or post mounts that were painted as well.

Photos would be cool if anyone has any (or links to any).

Oh yeah totally possible.
I've seen red BB7 calipers.
I just spray painted my mounting bracket black because 1 side had to be filed down a little bit(disc mounts on fork not straight)

Honestly, if it doesn't move or rub something else, you can paint it.

How's this from 11 years ago? Kinda of a flat charcoal color to start with and then painted with gold spray paint. And yeah, those are dual front 6-piston calipers and both master cylinders have remote reservoirs. Not your average two-wheeler. I'd guess the whole system weighed in at around 12-14 lbs (including ginormous steel-backed pads). Man, those were the days, takes me back...
