I painted the wheels on my 05 Warrior gold. Its a hate it or love it thing, i just got sick of having black wheels like everyone else.I did many layers of clear so it should be pretty sturdy. I didnt take apart the wheel just some masking and a painting template. The cheapest mod yet! Enjoy.

Very nice job, especially for not taking the wheels apart. Nice accents on the caliper,skewers and seat clamp! Hope it holds up for you.

That is very nice. I really like the color of your bike, too. Great combination and as mentioned the accents add a nice touch and does an awesome job of blending the gold to make it look natural!

It does now that you pointed it out. haha, Well I trashed the hayes and went BB7 since those pics. I dont wanna paint brand new brakes so there ganna stay silver...for now. I got the paint from autozone. Its just regular automotive paint by duplicolor. I taped up the wheel, primed it, colored it, and cleared it. I plan to take the wheel apart and do a new color soon, not sure what yet.
