Hey Walt -

I was thinking it would be fun to do the Sunrise ride (same ride that you hosted a few months ago) again tomorrow (Sun) morning. I've told a few of my friends about the ride but I don't know enough about the area to feel comfortable leading the ride. Are you interested in leading the same ride again? I was thinking a 6AM start time. I would be riding the SS.

Thx...Doug

I would be game for this ride as well.....................although, next Saturday or Sunday would be better for me & crew. Somebody posted a week or two ago a bigger loop (about 25 miles?)with a few good sized climbs:thumbsup:

What do you think ...................?

Sorry I'm late on this...online for the first time in a day...

Obviously, I'm not riding this morning - I did the Pemberton ride last night, slept in and am chilling...

I'd be up for doing this again soon, for sure.

Only if you ride an old school 3 speed so I can keep up with ya!

I'd definitely be up for this ride again...although I'm already sick of morning riding so I'd be up for a nice night ride...but I'll suffer the morning this again too. I'm a glutten for punishment!

I've got swim meet conflicts this weekend - both AM's. Could possibly be able to wriggle out of Sunday, though...not sure yet.

I'd be up for a night ride (this area is great at night), but what night were you all thinking - weeknight or weekend? We wouldn't be able to go down the east side of Sunrise into Hidden Hills, but that's OK - going back down the west at night is very cool...

One thing to note - a night ride of the whole thing would required a good 3.5 hours of burn time on your lights...

We were referring to the Sunrise down here in N. Scottsdale; part of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. You're welcome to join!

Are these pics of a new trail up there? I thought I had ridden most everything up there, but I don't remember that section, I've gotta ride it! Looks awesome I'll be making a trip up there next saturday. Has anyone mapped the trails up there?

BTW: this thread was speaking of the UPHILL Sunrise trail in Scottsdale. Not near as fun as the DOWNHILL Sunrise a few hours north.

This reminds me a lot of the NW. Gawd how I miss those trails AND weather!!! Anyway, I'd definitely be up for this Sunrise ride as well.

Unfortunately I'm traveling all week for business, so if you do a mid-week night ride I'm out. I would MUCH rather do the entire ride next Sunday AM if you can wriggle out of the swim meet...

Thx...Doug

Yeah, it's kind of like the NW only without any water, dry and dusty (usually). I'm kicking around the idea of a early morning daytrip on Saturday, as I have to work on Sunday, if anyone's interested.

The log and the rock are new on Chutes and Ladders, fun fun fun.

Also, I was tongue in cheek about this being the Sunrise of which Waltaz was speaking of. notice the  I have never done the uphill Sunrise, right now I have little motivation for XC rides in this heat (or any other riding). It's the first summer i haven't tried to tough it out. But I am getting even slower and weaker than normal, so I got to start turning the cranks. Maybe I'll roll with you guys in the fall.

Can we do this ride next weekend? I can't shake loose for a long ride this weekend.

If so, let's figure out which day is better and I'll post it up.
Are you still up for riding the trail this weekend? I'm thinking about doing a roadie ride on Saturday, so Sunday would work best for me.

Thx...Doug

I am...but also thinking about a Prescott trip on Sunday...don't know if I can square that, though. I'll let you know Friday.
