I've notice you always recommend to repack and adjust the shimano Hub.
I got my 03 XTR hub and went to get the wrench size 15 and 17.
The 15 don't fit. Is the inner cone 13 or 14?
Please advise.

Take your wheel down to your local bike shop and MAKE SURE the wrenches you get are the right size. The resident WRENCH should be willing to grace your wheel with his cone wrenches so you don't have to open packaging ... etc...

Cone wrenches are often available in sets and at a better price than buying them individually, and if you're going to work on more than one type of hub they do come in handy. I've got a couple Shimano hubs and they don't all use the same cone wrenches, but I've got the whole range of sizes so I just find the ones that work in the toolbox....don't have an 03 XTR so can't specify what you need. Doesn't Shimano somewhere have a manual on-line to tell you what sizes are necessary?
