It isn't always easy, and it isn't always ridable, but all the hike a bike usually means the DH will be all the better, thanks !

That's the circumnavigation of Mt Guyot. It's one of the Summit County Classics. How much snow was on the south side of French Pass? Is it just the remains of the cornice or was it a fairly large snow field?

PS: People (Not me) have cleaned the climb up French pass in the days before that trail got so loose and eroded.

There was about a 300 yard section of snow on the south side. Nothing you couldn't walk down in a few minutes. I agree, the route up to French Pass would be climbable with fresh legs. Both of us were a bit cooked from racing the Firecracker 50 the day before.

Awesome! Well done. We did that ride from Keystone Gulch about 10 years ago. The mate I took with me I'm fairly sure was about to die at the end.
