Title says it all. We recently moved to Phoenix and it's time to find a Primary Care Doc. I've done the med-scores search, Yelp, taking to coworkers, etc., but just haven't found someone that I want to see.

Background includes years of biking (and crashing), climbing, hiking, kayaking, etc., so looking for someone who understands our lifestyle....lot's of old trauma from broken bones, orthopedic surgeries, getting older, yadda yadda yadda.

Ideally someone youngish, active, no BS, with street cred among local active knuckleheads. We're in North Central Phoenix (Glendale and 51), but willing to drive awhile for the right recommendation. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I have been going to Arneyo Perez, MD Our Providers - Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak Family Care for the pat year and would highly recommend him. A year does not seam like much, but in my case I have been dealing with chronic pericarditis for that past 5+ months that has landed me in the hospital 4 times. Through all of this he is the only doctor I have stuck with. All of the rest of the doctors and specialists that I have seen either didn't have a clue, did not allow an appropriate amount of time, were un-prepared and/or did not give a rats ass.

A primary care physician or primary care provider (PCP) is a physician who provides both the first contact for a person with an undiagnosed health concern as well as continuing care of varied medical conditions, not limited by cause, organ system, or diagnosis.

....or the person that refers you to other people that can bolt you back together.
