This is getting out of control in a hurry. I have been avoiding that area on my road bike and will continue to do so, so I guess the angry residents win.

Although the thought crossed my mind that the Camera continues to post these hot button cyclist/driver stories like this to keep the people refreshing to comment which ultimately helps their traffic numbers to advertisers.

Wait a minute....The Camera made the flier! I've broken this story wide open.
That's effed. Not to defend the silly residents, but those roadie rides have gotten out of control. Not stopping for lights or stop signs, huge pelotons taking the entire lane, etc. I'm not surprised in the least. One of the many reasons I do not ride road. But I am surprised this comes so quickly after the 3yr sentence of the driver who killed two bicyclist. WTF mate?!
I'm sure I'm forcing drivers to dangerously veer into the opposite lane with tires screetching when I'm heading down Flagstaff at a bit over the speed limit. I clearly should be arrested. Not to mention that during an emergency, with the flames shooting hundreds of feet into the air, I'm going to be slowly grinding my way up into the wildfire just to force those poor automobiles to wait for me to get to a wide enough shoulder to pass legally. I'm such a cad!

While I sympathize to some extent that the road can get unreasonably thick with bikers, the guys in the 2-ton boxes need to calm the f*** down. If you're already 30 minutes late, don't blame the bikers for adding 2 minutes to that.
Cyclists should throw the bike on the roof rack and drive the speed limit on that day, it would be hilarious to see all those people freaking out at having to actually drive safely and sanely for one day.

That's a really cool and funny idea!
So, pretty soon, no trails to ride on and no roads to ride on. But we will have bike paths....Yay...

;)
Since I put a Burley trailer on my Grociery Getter... People seem more than willing to yield. :)
I no longer enjoy road riding, the potential interaction with drivers causes me too much stress.
Regardless of how you ride, lawful, repectful and courteous, you will always be judged by the actions of the worst on the road.
It is truly and chicken and egg, as to who came first, the rude roadie or the rude driver, there is enough culpability to go around on both sides.
The escalation of hostilites can never produce a positive outcome.
Why can't these knuckle heads ever spell? It's "civil DISOBEDIENCE", not "civil DISOBEDIANCE". Add that to the bad grammarand it is almost like they are uneducated or something.

I'm sure the police will step up patrols during their "civil disobediance". Let's see if these jokers can spell "ticket" or "under arrest" or "harassment" on their next flyer.
Awesome

So who's gonna make that sticker? I'll take 10.
Absolutely classic Lidarman

I'm still giggling. :p
And it doesn't stop there.

This week's Westword has a few words too.
The prospect of getting into a fist fight with motorists always added that extra little spark to road rides around Boulder.
