I am trying to find out what this cartoon was from my childhood. Now, remember, I was probably 4 at the time (51 years ago)....
There was a line of men in robes...possibly black robes...and they sang a song, something like this "I'm happy when I'm sad, I'm always feeling sad". Maybe they carried sickles....Any clues?

I think you're looking for "The Sunshine Makers" circa 1935. Van Beuren Studios existed for about 8 years, and this was their most notable cartoon. It's a retelling of the battle between good and evil. Check the Youtube.com link below...
