I am 188cm tall and 193xm span. Did I go too big? Nothing to test ride during the pandemic. My sons 2017 stumpjumper in XL does not feel too big at all! That’s my only comparison. I think I will be fine with the added reach.

Thanks guys. I just feel like I can handle the extra reach, plus the top tube length is reasonable because of the seat tube angle.

Ok. I got my bike. XL fits. Dropper is only extended about 1/4” from top of top tube, so it’s close. At 6’2” , the large probably would have been good too.
