Hi All,

been looking for a light 28 hole rim. the Mavic x517 that are being blown out are 32 or higher. Came across some Ritchey Vantage Pro WCS rims from the 1990s. New condition, supposedly claimed weight of 395g.

Any opinions if this is a good rim to build up a front wheel, 28h Ringle SOB hub radial laced or 1x. For a 135lb rider aggresive XC.

thanks

Hey-
I ran these back in the mid 90's laced to 32 hole XTR hubs. They worked well for my 150-160lbs and similar riding style.

Edit: I had a sneaking suspicion that one of these wheels is still in use. I just checked, and my front xtr/ritchey wheel is still in use on my internally hub'd Hard Rock commuter bike. So, that rim survived many years of mtbing and has seen an additional 1000 or so miles of commuting. The rim is still very true, but the sidewalls are showing a lot of wear and grooving.
