I have a chance to pick up a MY '06 66 rc2x to "upgrade" from my Z1 RC2/ETA Bomber but I just realized the A2C and overall travel is 10mm less than the '07+ MY 66's.
Anyone riding an '06 on a bottlerocket and how is it? does it skew the geometry much?

Any rider input will be greatly appreciated.
I'd like to scarf this up asap if it's a good deal!

I rock the 07' 66 RC2X on mine. I love it. I contemplated going 160mm with a Fox, but I am glad I went with the 180mm 66. The 66 give the bike more of a big bike feel and inspires confidence off the big stuff.

My friend run a Domain on his Rocket. It feels a bit "snappier" than mine due to 160mm, but his also weighs 8lbs less.

IMO this is the best "big" fork for the Bottlerocket. It's axel to crown is 555mm, and you get 170mm of travel. That's only 10mm taller than a 36, so it doesn't skew the handling too bad. Not to mention it's super tough and has awesome damping.

Here's my BR with my 06. (Cane Creek Double XC flush reducer headset.)
