Hello everyone,

Maybe you can help me with a problem which I have... I am about to buy a used 2007 Giant Reign 2. The bike is in good general condition, in original condition, rarely used. I know the seller, so I know pretty much everything that was going on with the bike. Unfortunately there is a crack at the bottom part of the fork (a Manitou Nixon Super 145mm), just where it is attached to the hub.

The fork probably cracked as a result of over tightening the screws - there was no significant crash or impact, which could have caused it otherwise.

I would like to hear what you think - will it hold for average XC/AM riding, or should I be afraid that the crack will make me loose my front wheel? :) Would you replace the fork or leave it as it is?

Thanks for all suggestions...

Hmm... Obviously I was wrong when I thought that this might not be that bad. As the lower part cannot be replaced, the only solution is probably to replace the complete fork (no repair possible)..?
