I have a one up dropper with a couple years on it and it just started to sink while climbing with 100% of my weight on it. I ordered a new cartridge and a whole new post to go to a 180mm drop.

Since I have parts coming I'm thinking about attempting a rebuild on my current cartridge. Has anyone torn into one yet and figured anything out? Looks like just a 4 pin spanner to get in there but I can't find any info on the guts.

I know one up made these cheap with the idea that when it fails you just replace for $60 instead of buying a rebuild for $40. It has been a great post and I have zero complaints but the curiosity is killing me.

You can’t rebuild the Wintek cartridges. They are sealed units. The rest of the post can be rebuilt and especially changing the glide bushes and brass keys is recommended every 500h or so. Just my experience.
