One up: new actuator benefits?

My One Up post has the old cable actuator. It's cheap and easy to buy and install the new actuator. But what is the advantage?

With the new actuator, the cable housing doesn't have to move in order for the post to be actuated.
I heard/read that the old actuator was only a problem on a few bike brands, Santa Cruz being perhaps the most notable.
There is no performance difference between old and new. I mean, unless you had one of the incompatible brand bikes.

^What he said. I've owned both and would say the older one was maybe slightly a hair smoother.

Thanks everyone! The post works fine with the old actuator on my Ripley V4, so I will save myself the expense of getting a new one.

I had 2 bikes. Back to back ,V1 has less friction when pushed with my WT remote light action. I actually like it better. Unless my V2 is defective. But works just fine.
