Key is that each hub front and rear answer to your needs on each end of the bike. Some might be able to use a weightweenie front hub, but require a really beefy rear hub with high spoke count. Some may suffice with a light rear hub, but need the stiffness of a through axle front to get the steering as direct as they prefer it. It's all about your size, your trails and your style.
