Uhhh, these guys ride 15 - 18 thousand miles a year on the road while training. I think that qualifies them as roadies. And yeah, I can see people in the peloton doing very well in pro MTB racing. Contador, Armstrong, Indurain all had what it took to win anything, anywhere.

Not really fishin' ...

Hey Nate, I'm a career writer (as well as lifelong cyclist) so what I do is share my writing for what it's worth. A full blog post with embedded links, photos, video etc. just isn't easily cut and pasted into a forum, and besides, a forum post is to my mind a completely different medium. For one thing, it's typically shorter. I guess you could call it fishin' because I want people to read what I write, but it's more just sharin' ...

Thanks for checking in though and for your inspirational story!
