You can set up a salsa timberjack with qr135 with about $25 in replacable rear dropouts. Its a pretty affordable aluminum frame.

The bxt I got came with two sets of replaceable dropouts, for QR and through axle. In my experience, the very solid and replaceable QR dropouts are a little wider/thicker than old/standard, so expect to get a slightly longer skewer. It looks like many of the Chinese frames use a similar replaceable dropout. In my case it was easier to convert the rear to through (those Hope hubs are super easy to convert) and use the through axle dropouts.
