I have an old 96 I think it is steel schwinn that I mounted up my 1 1/8 threadless fork to and decided to put life into her again. Its a vary light steel hardtail and was my first bike. Its not really rusted and am thinking about re-painting and rebuilding it.

I guess this is a 2 part question. What type of paint should I use or should I have someone paint it? Is it worth rebuilding? It is solid and a vary light steel hardtail after all.

Primer/sealer , good quality enamel paint .

Strip it and have it powder coated...cheaper, more durable, and more environmentally friendly.
