you may remember a while back, i posted a thread about doing a research project this summer. well the project is a go and i need people who can work out three times a week for free, get a lactate threshold, vo2 max, and wingate test for free, as well as various other tests. the training is hoped to last for 12 weeks but an 8 week intervention would be acquired. again this would all be free to you, we just need people who would be able to go to ASU east and train with myself and various other coaches for the duration of the research.

just to reiterate

the test is to see if strength training can improve performance in an endurance setting, like XC. Downhilling not too cardiovascular, but iff still interested let me know.

But if you think DH doesn't involve endurance, I formally and publicly invite you to come shuttle with my crew. I'm sure you'll change your mind.

but im trying to see the effects on xc racers, or high level athletes, DH will be next on the list, have to get the door open first, as you all know everyone and their dog has misinformation about our sport, they think were all skinny spandex wearing nerds (wait a minute?). just want some big wigs in education and strength training to see that this type of training is great.
the test will be in the summer 2006, after much of the race season so most everyone will be in their training phases anyway.
ASU east is out at the old williams AFB or power/williams feild(chandler blvd). training times are TBA vut i will do the morning and midafternoon times, my collegue will do the afternoon times and any other times that need to be done, i will do. we need demand first before we start to set times, so if you have any friends who race or are pretty highly trained, then get the word out.
