how does oil level affect the fork's performance.
I'm using marzocchi fork and filled to the recommended height but there's a Squishing sound of oil as if it's sucking air from somewhere.

So should I increase o decrease the oil level.

Please advise..

Not sure what particular fork you're running but the coil spring forks need to be compressed all the way with the springs removed and legs filled to @ 50mm from the top. This is for the Z1 model. Did you use this sequence? I'm guessing here because your post was kinda vague.

Using the EXR pro air with 5 wt oil (filled to about 130cc) and pump to 30 PSI.
very tight when compressing and noisy with rebound

Since most of my experience is with coil shocks, I can only recommend that you reduce air pressure @ 5psi and go back to 7 wt. oil to reduce the "swishing" sound of the oil circulating through the cartridge. The 5 wt. oil being lighter will cycle easier through the cartridge than 7 wt. oil. Looks like you've got the recommended amount of oil at 130 cc but if you are not getting full travel, take a few cc's out. good luck!
