I've got a leaking shaft seal on mine. Going to send it in for a service next week, but just wanted to top off the oil on it for this weekends riding if I can. Anyone opened one up?

Topping up oil in a shock isn't that straightforward, and possibly more likely to make it worse. you need to deflate the reservoir first, have you got a needle to regas afterwards?

That's what I figured. But also didn't think it hurt to ask.

Nope. I might get one though. I have the nitrogen...

But for a lot of stuff, I like to just have others handle it. Stick with what I am good at (breaking things).

Thanks. I have oil leaking too and it's my first coil shock so it sounds like it's not a simple diy job.
