OK we're tired of not being sure if this has been noticed, or a decision has already been made, so here's a link to my proposal. The Aloha Single Speeders(A.S.S) are cool and I'm sure by now are aware of the idea and behind this. Who's with us? If it ends up elsewhere it's all good, but we've gotta host it there at sometime, I'll upload an image of the area asap.

Pleeeeesssssseeee, it'll be sooo Cooool! (peer pressure intended)

Copy of said post:

Try and get permission to host it on Oahu at Dole's Plantation! Nice tropical North Shore/Valley weather (62-75 degrees) there's plenty of access to hotels and the airport! Put some serious imagination into this:

1. Hawaii in September-October.
2. Lag in season means decent hotel rates.
3. Mellow attitude.
4. Fantastic scenery.

Only 1 possible drawback: last part of Hurricane season means possible rain, but so what!

*FYI Kualoa Ranch is bike friendly too!

Is that Oahu?

a few years ago I was at TAMC for a bit and the trails behind it to the what, north-northwest?, were challenging to run on with the local Hash House Harriers crowd of ~150. There's a park at the base of that ridge/valley but if I recall there's no way it could handle a huge crowd. I vote for any of the islands there.

Hawaii!!!

I hereby third the nomination!!

I rode around the cane, agave, and pineapple fields as a kid. Make sure that access is available, due to slightly different forms of "property" protection on the islands. I'm sure Dole could spin it to serve their needs too, think of it as a "Great p.r.!" opportunity.

"TAMC"-definitely agree with you on those trails. Buddy of mine's there now.
