I think I finally solved the click-clack sound or at least minimized it. This is the noisiest bike I've owned in a long time by far. In my case it seemed like it the noise was coming from the internally routed tubes that did not have a cable/hose in them.

I ran black plastic drip line into all the open cables ports from end to end and the noise is 80%-90% better. My buddy has same frame (Smaller size) with no rattle so I can only guess its a QC issue.

Love the frame overall but bummed EVIL could not come up with a better cable solution where the cable/hose exists the port. The plastic things they supply is a joke and seems like design after thought. For the cost, it makes no sense. Rocky Mountain has this dialed.

Shove some drip line in your tubes if you have a rattle your cant locate.
Did that solve your issue?

has anyone ridden their V2 offering with both an air shock and a coil shock? how do they compare? I'm generally happy with how it the bike feels with the X2 but I'm coil curious.and I kinda want to get rid of the X2 since I want something more easily serviceable that won't blow an oil seal mid descent on a double black like the X2 did
I rode mine for about two-three months with the stock super deluxe air shock and was generally pretty happy with it. The Push 11-6 from my Fugitive LT frame swaps directly on (well, almost. I needed a different spacer for the lower mount) so of course I had to try it.

Is it better? Yes in most ways I think there’s a noticeable improvement but it’s not life altering $1200 better imo. And it’s heavier and takes away a little bit of the poppiness.

Any 5'7" riders out there? Are you riding a small? According to the Evil size chart I could ride the small or medium, but on paper the medium seems too big. With access to demo bikes being difficult these days I'm looking for some feedback from current owners.
Can’t help you with the sizing question, but just curious if you are the same AZ Mikey I rode with out at Haws 15+ years ago?

I also recently did the 11-6 and it was major difference (225lbs rider). I specifically purchased the 11-6 for the EVIL and perhaps it has a different tune than yours? not sure. I got the Super Deluxe fairly dialed where I was happy with it but the 11-6 definitely took it up a notch. Biggest difference was on hard compressions and fast repetitive hits. So far its been erasing trail chatter and turning it into traction. I still feel like I have a very poppy playful bike as well.

Well worth the investment for me.

Nice. Haven't seen you around here in a long time. FWIW. I'm loving my v.2 Offering. 5'11.5 size large fits me perfect.
Still one of my favorite photos. I think we did ride SoMo together too.

Wow, that's a blast from long ago! There are many miles of great new trails out at Hawes.

Thanks for the fit info, I'm guessing the small would be the right size for me and my riding style based on the geometry and feedback I've received here.

It’d be nice to throw a leg over one. Because of the steep seat tube, the cockpit feels a little more compact than the reach numbers might suggest. You might get away with a medium depending on the type of trails you ride mostly.

Yeah, I really need to get back down to Phoenix. It’s been too long and like you say, there’s a lot of new stuff. Really want to check out Sunset Ridge.

So I just put in a Evil -1 angle set and lifted the bb to the high position. This is the way. The bike is way more poppy in that high position and you maintain a nice HA. It feels like a big version of my following now.

guys, coil or air shock on the offering? i currently have an x2 with 1 token inside as i was bottoming out a tad too often, any reccomendations? stick to air or try coil? not push as it's too expensive
I'd try more tokens first if that's your only complaint. the X2 is a good shock.

i think one is the max amount o token you can run on the x2 in this size, regardless, 0 complain, i love it, and 1 token is perfect for me, just i tried a wreckoning with the push and it felt like my bike on steroids that coil feel on delta is sweet

The X2 shock in this video showed space for four. Pretty easy to open it up and take a look. If it will take another token it might solve your occasional bottom out issue and keep everything else good.

FWIW, I'm running the 11/6 on my Offering and while better than the Super Deluxe Air it replaced, it hasn't totally blown my mind.

Good to know! i have no more bottom out problem with the only token i've got, just i was wondering if a coil would feel worse being more linear being easier to bottom out since you cannot add volume spacers
