What type of riding?

DH - hit up Whiteface/Killington - both are open on weekdays as well.

Awesome techy trail riding - do a weekend riding Spier Falls (Moreau Lakes State Park)in South Glens Falls and the SMBA trails in Saratoga - you will need to buy a day pass for SMBA - but that would be an awful lot of good riding!
do you know any spots that aren't too technical? basically cross country riding, uphill/downhill flat riding.
SMBA has no real elevation gain just alot of short quick ups and downs, it definitely has technical riding and lots of rocks, but I've ridden with people who would consider themselves intermediate riders and they still have a blast.

You didn't mention if you want to camp or not.

These three places are about a 5 hour drive from NYC and offer a variety of trails that are not too difficult with accommodations on site:

Unfortunatly our lease agreement doesn't allow us to offer day passes. Not to mention it would be logistically impossible for our current organization to impliment and enforce a day pass system.

You'll either have to buy full membership at one of our supporting shops or hook up and ride with a member.
