Formula, Avid, now Shimano. All new. Not one was bled when it arrived. Even the highly rated Shimano Saint arrived today with lever firmness of a 1/10. (Free stroke adjustment did nothing). Spoke to Shimano and Tree fort bikes. Their solution: Shimano says not our problem if brakes aren't properly bled, happens all the time. Tree Fort bikes: we'll send you some mineral oil. I don't mind bleeding brakes. But when you spend as much as you do on Saints, I was expecting a pretty good bleed from the factory.

Yeah kinda hit and miss unfortunately. But even Fox apparently has issues with their oil fairy sucking oil up before the shipment, we just have to be more aware when we buy oem stuff. Frustrating for sure, but Tree Fort is at least trying to do the right thing by shipping you that pink juice. I’m sure you’ll like what you got once you give a proper bleed.
