my moonie had no cap on the nondrive side of the crank. the drive side has one.
you can look all the way to the other end of the crank
this hole seems like a place water and crap will accumulate

i thought the bearing adjustment cap would be the solution but it says only for bearing adjustment and the allen wrench hole is open to both sides so it wont provide protection.

should i worry? is there a solution the looks good (rather than a cork etc)

as it is i sprayed frame saver in wiped with cloth.

I dont worry. The shaft is high alloy and won't rust through in your lifetime, and there really isn't any way for crud to get from inside the hollow shaft to the bearings, so its only a psychological (and possibly small amount of weight) thing.

the thought of rust eating my steed from the inside is unsettling

tough to get the real scoop on stuff like this
