I owe a 2020 occam carbon. What kind of bash guard can I use?

Look into the "Funn Zippa" bash guard. I ran it on my 2019 Giant Trance for roughly a year and its pretty banged up on the bottom so safe to say that it's saved my chainring/chain from some damage. I watched a Seth's Bike Hacks video where he reviewed mountain bike parts under $50 that he recommends and this was one of them.

You’d run that with a BB to ISCG adapter?
That’s what I was thinking of doing. Use a MRP adapter and then you have a lot of choices for bash guards.

I am getting around to installing the ISCG adapter for the bash guard but have a question.

From what I’ve read the adapter is supposed to have the flat side facing out towards the crank. If I install it like this it looks as though it will be hitting the frame.
Which way have others installed this adapter?

I think you installed your bash guard backwards. The rounded end is supposed to be towards the front of the bike and the straight end towards the back.
Bruiser installed...
Bruiser with crank in place...

yes...that is true. With the BB mount, it won't fit on the carbon frame the other direction. doesn't seem to pose a problem in use.
