I'm going to to be visiting Oak Ridge for a week later this month. Is there any good beginner/intermediate single track nearby?

I have an aunt that lives in Oak Ridge. There is a good track there called Haws Ridge. It's worth bringing the bike. They have an yearly 12-hour race there.

I grew up in OR and spent a lot of time in Haws Ridge in high school. It is where we snuck in with jeeps and trucks and hung out. Spent many a good time there. This was before mountain bikes so I have never mountain biked there but there are a lot of trails to ride. Might also check out Windrock mountain. It is about 10 minutes outside of OR in a small town called Oliver Springs.

windrock is for serious downhilling only.

definately not for a x-c bike at all.

check the "sticky" on the r.m. forum in the south.
