I have the NX 11 speed set up. Will a GX 11 speed derailleur work as a direct replacement for the NX derailleur, or is the GX not compatible with the NX components? Sorry for the noob question.

It should be a straight drop-in replacement, as long as the cages are the same length.

Adding: I just checked, and it does look like there is a 2x11 and a 1x11 version for GX (NX is 1x only). The 2x11 version would technically work, it takes the same cable pull, but it doesn't have the pulley movement optimized for 1x drivetrains, so it may actually perform worse than the NX.

Was there a reason you're replacing the NX with this one? They're virtually identical in function and weight.

I have another bike I'm doing a "budget" build on and would like to swap wheels between the 2 bikes. Figured if the dive trains were the same, I wouldn't have any issues.

Cool, just wanted to rule out it being purchased as an "upgrade" to save you $. Should be more or less the same as the NX.
