Likely throwing the bike on the car and heading south this weekend from MN (winter won't end, still snowing, need to ride some dirt) and the destination is looking like NW Arkansas. However, the weather is showing a good chance of rain in the next couple days.

Question: How long do the trails take to dry out if it indeed does rain. Looking at Syllamo and Slaughter Pen as the two most likely destinations, but will re-evaluate depending on trail conditions. (Won't be going to the mtb festival at Devil's Den)

Here in the Minneapolis area, it takes a couple days for the primarily dirt soil to dry out enough to be rideable. But up in NW Wisconsin the soil is so sandy the trails dry much more quickly.

I'd hate to drive all the way down there to sit at the trailhead and cry over closed trails.

Slaughter pen / Blowing springs is rocky/gravelly, and thus drains quickly. Never been to Syllamo unfortunately.

Also look at Hobbs State Park, it drys very quickly and is a nice ride.

Shoot me a pm when you come down. We have a lot of group rides. We can show you some great trails. Trails dry out pretty darn fast here
