North shore tire choice

Yeah, I would try beefier tires before DH tubes.
Single ply Nevegals are apparently pretty easy to flat, so you might have options that aren't as heavy as 1300g DH tires.

Some people are liking the Conti Rubber Queen (not for the name), they are big and sticky and not too fragile.

Something like Minion 3C might work, but I'm not in your area, maybe also check out the NSMB forum for tires that work on the shore.

High rollers or minions would be my choice.
